Desire 10

For khushi, it was hard to start living like before and acts like nothing happened in the last few days. However, she tried her best because she decided to forget totally about that fairytale and concentrate only on her work and life.

Her pink anarkali makes her look even more innocent and she tied her long hair into a bun to that she could type her article in the laptop. The office was busy as it was Monday morning. Khushi is working in an economic magazine. She’s liking her work too much and giving all her best to succeed professionally. Still, she was in her beginning…there is a way to go.

While typing her article, his image was there in her mind; his dark eyes, intensive gaze, smile, smirk, touch, care, roughness…

The way he made love to her (oups! “Fu*k her!” Like he said)

The way he kissed her lips

The way he pinned her against his hard chest

The way he sleeps, he eats; he prepares dinner, he walk, he talks…

-Gupta!

Khushi gasped hearing her old but insane boss crying out her name…

She gets up instantly and looked up at him…

Huh if he thought that his white beard will impress her!!!

No! but she’s seriously fearing her old boss, Mr. Mehra, she wants to impress him no matter what!

She saw her boss standing in the middle of the cabin, full of trainees and beginners among them khushi and he looked at them, his eyes travelled from desk to desk and so from face to face.

-a famous businessman, a tycoon is in his way here, to our humble magazine local! which I find a bit suspect! …but it’s been years that we are behind his secretary team to obtain one single interview and here he’s coming to us!...be prepared, he will by himself choose the journalist who will make the interview with him…

Khushi could hear impressive sounds all over the office and saw her boss discreet smile…

-prepare your questions! One of you will join my office soon to do the interview with ASR!

Mr. Mehra said so and left the office…

-but who is the business tycoon?

Khushi asked her mate

-you don’t know? Our profiles and CVs are already with him, from this morning! I heard that he never present any type of interviews, let alone, be present in some humble economic magazine local like this!

She answered her

-we don’t know anything about him!

Added another employee

-I really wish I could be the lucky one!

Her mate said smiling and blushing

Khushi looked at them, she’s not interested anymore, they continue talking but she stops hearing anything…she will just do her job correctly to avoid Mr. Mehra lamentations but she’s not really in the mood to work seriously

She’s thinking about him only and wishing to be right in between his arms…

But she knows it was over from the moment he drops her before her apartment door and wished for her good evening (maybe in his heart, he wished her good luck for her life) , she invited him for a last cup of coffee but he said that he has to go to his office for an urgent work…from that moment, he doesn’t call…she thought he would call but no!

She should forget him!!!…she starts writing the classical questions that could be asked to a famous business man: how he starts? The main secret behind his fortune? The role of his family in his success…some specific questions about the economy and the marketing

She wasn’t really able to concentrate

She wants to learn some information about him to write the private questions…

-he’s married?

She asked her mate…

-oh please! Gupta! Do you even hear about what we are talking till morning? He’s not!! and that’s why we are crazy, he’s so handsome, successful and he’s single!

Khushi immediately typed her next question: “how it comes that a successful tycoon as important as you never thought about marriage?”

He maybe thought about that!

“How it comes you’re not married?”

Seems so rude!

Khushi kept the first option…

She checked out her phone…why she keeps thinking he would call?!

She worked more on her interview and finally sent her questions to her boss; she was more than sure that she’s not the journalist who will be chosen to realize the interview! And that’s good!

She’s really tired and her mind is connected to something else!

She went to the washroom and adjusted again her dupatta to hide some red marks, the witnesses that the last days weren’t a dream…

She’s looking pale…she wasn’t able to sleep well, so, she puts some make up on…

Her lipstick has peach’s taste and she really like it…

She looked at herself in the mirror, repeating in her mind that she should forget him and then she gets out from the washroom

-Gupta? You’re here?

Again face to face with her boss?!!!!!

She can’t believe she’s that much lucky to meet her boss twice a day

-I’ve been looking for you!

-what? Me?

Really?...

Her boss was the kind of men who is unhappy with any behavior but he was a perfect journalist with lots of experiences and wisdom! But him? Looking for an employee??? It was so wired!

Khushi liked him despite all…

-Mr. Perfect tycoon picked up your questions list! He’s waiting for you in the meeting room! You go and rock!

Khushi’s eyes widened instantly

-No!

-are you kidding me?

-I mean…

-you go and do your job!

She nodded nervously

How can she be so careless?!!

It’s her job and she doesn’t prepare the interview properly but she has to obey her boss…

She walked to the meeting room with hesitant, slowly steps!

If only…

If only she prepared it well…

How that business man chooses her list of questions among all the other ones!

She should be confident, her boss handed her his own file concerning this business and she should rock…

She opens the door of the meeting room slowly while opening the file containing all the information needed about the person she will meet right there and then…

She doesn’t believe her eyes when she looked at the first page she meet where there is a big photo of a familiar face, a so familiar expression, a necktie that she knows, a white shirt that she very well know and maybe unbutton (it is the same?)

She shivered when she read the title: Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada (ASR)

The file falls from her hands the moment she enters the meeting room!

The man who is admiring the view from the window there doesn’t turn to look at her trouble…

Facing his back, khushi keeps wishing he’s not him!

It’s unbelievable!

She leaned to pick up the file and when she stands back…

He turned and their eyes meet…

It was him

-lock the door!

What? Please! Not here! Not in her work place!!!

Her mind advices her to run away but her hands obeyed his each word: she locked the door with the key…

She was about to talk, to fight his sudden presence but she wasn’t able to utter one word as he walked towards her

-are there any security cameras or anything here?

He asked

No…they aren’t in some of his luxurious conferences room!

She nodded negatively and then she couldn’t feel his feet on the floor anymore…he was so close and:

He picked her up in his arms…the files fall all over them…

And then she could only feel his lips ravaging hers…

His tongue demanding, insisting…his lips pressing, urging…

-why? Why…why you’re here?

She asked in a breath, against his warm mouth

He kept looking at her with his intense gaze…drinking her, eating her up with his maroon chocolate eyes

-you can’t come here! I’m supposed to work!

-you’re working! I’m your work!

He answered seriously

-no…no…we can’t!

-all the way till your apartment, yesterday, you’re only talking and explaining that “we can’t”!! “we can’t!”! we can khushi! and here I’m!

He whispered next to her ear and her hands encircle his neck for a support

-I missed you and I came just to have my morning kiss!

-no! no! please! I have to ask you questions! Please! It’s my work!!! All are waiting for this interview!

-we are going to do the interview but not here and not now! Is there any problem with this?

He pauses her and again her feet touched the floor…

She looked numb

he leaned and picks up the file containing the information and her questions and handed it to her…

she’s blushing furiously because of him, her anger against him and this sudden visit and kiss!

His gaze, his discreet smirk…

When they get out and meet with Mr. Mehra, Arnav checked his hand

-sorry but I have to go! I need to be in my office for some urgent work! The interview will be done tomorrow, 9 in the morning in my office and by Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta! Is that alright for you?

Mr. Mehra nodded

-yes! Yes, sure! Of course!

She saw him leaving and she couldn’t believe that he’s messing with her job, he just come and kiss her

-I was sure he’s really busy but Gupta! You heard it right? Tomorrow! his office! He said by nine!!! You will be there at 8! You will wait! This interview is so important for us but also for your career!

Khushi nodded but she was really shocked

So, He’s playing!!!!

She spends all the day getting the angrier just by thinking that he fools her boss and all the employees who spend the whole day talking only about him, just to come here and take a kiss from her!!!

She knows he will give the interview but she knows what he wants too!!!

After her work, she takes a taxi and returns immediately to her apartment!

She’s living alone after the death of her parents…

In her apartment, she felt always lonely but after spending some days with Arnav’s company, she felt the lonelier …

She takes a shower like usually and then prepares a mug of hot tea and switches on her laptop

Of course, first thing to type on Google was Arnav singh Raizada

She went to the pictures and verify them one after one…

Like that!!

She’s angry…no! she’s fuming!...now what if her boss or any of the employees know something about their relation?????!!!

She then typed a message: “I hate you”

And send it to him!

She regretted after that!

She bitted her lower lip

When she doesn’t receive any reply…she becomes more insane and kept her phone in her hand waiting for any sign!

But nothing

Nothing for an hour

Khushi lost any hope to receive any reply and then she heard her phone bip message and breathed finally, she opens the message up to read it and was hell shocked:

“open the door”

Which door?!!!

Oh no! her apartment door??!!!!

No!!

She walked slowly to the door and hesitated before opening it!

Another message comes:

“khushi! I know you’re inside your home!! Just open!”

“why you’re here?! Go, please!!! I’m alone and if some neighbor see you…!”

She sent a message

“no one is here! And if you don’t decide to open! I will be just standing here!”

He sends back…

Finally, she opened

-how could you…

She starts but he pushed her inside and closes the door behind

-why you’re here? You just can’t come and torture me everywhere…

She felt his palm shutting her mouth

-torture you?

He asked and she nodded negatively…

-why you’re so nervous khushi? You have to tell me!

He takes his hand off her mouth to let her speak finally

She takes a deep breath and winked cutely before she could answer

-Arnavji…this is so complicated and so, I don’t want you to interfere in my work, please! And not here!!

He felt hurt!!

For the first time of his life, Arnav singh Raizada is rejected like this!!

-why?!

-because my work is so important and you can’t mess with it!!

-I wanted to surprise you!

He said as the anger starts taking place in his mind, heart and eyes!

-and I’m not messing with your work, khushi! I really want to make an interview to clear up some points but it’s ok…I will just cancel it and it will not be your fault!!

He was about to leave but she held his hand…he turned to see her

-look! It’s not about the interview! It’s not a problem! I’m just talking about the fact that you came like that to the magazine location! You shocked me! and now, you came here…which is inacceptable!

-khushi! it’s ok! You’re right! We can’t! It’s as simple as that! It’s over!

He said seriously

-yes!

She said proudly

-exactly!

He continues

-please! Let’s get over this!

-of course khushi! you don’t even need to ask for this! We are over!

He said coldly

-alright!

She said indifferently but trying not to cry…

-ok!

He finally said and get out of her apartment…
